Utena indeed. Innocent passersby of this post, do not ever let your friends make you watch that movie when you've never seen any Utena before and it's midnight and you've already been awake for two days. What the hell happened to me?! D=

Oh, even if you've seen the series all the way through the movie doesn't make any damn sense. Nobody turns into a car in the series.
Though, granted, the series doesn't make any more sense, it just doesn't make any more sense in a different way. The symbolism's still ambiguous but it's a touch easier to untangle. I'd still recommend watching the series if you can. In the daytime, of course.
I did not know enough about the internet to seek out fic when I was four! I didn't even write it, I made my parents act it out. Every morning I'd assign them roles and they'd act out some new adventure for Bernard and Bianca and Jake. It a testament to their parenting skills that they didn't quash this habit out of sheer annoyance.
